The Asexual Revolution of the LGB and TQIA+
The LGB and the TQIAA2S+ are fighting each other to determine who is more childish.
As I have alluded to in previous articles, revolutionary movements are driven by an urge to replace the orders that preceded them. Revolutionaries act for the sake of establishing a new “better” order. The word itself is composed of the prefix Re- which means ‘again’, and Volta which means ‘turn’. When combined, the resulting word hints at the idea of starting a cycle again. As such, no self-respecting revolution stops at toppling the previous order. Indeed, as soon as the revolutionaries capture the institutions, they start furnishing them to their liking and get busy changing rituals, traditions, and even calendars.
Take for instance the fact that when the French revolutionaries proclaimed the First French Republic, they also declared that the 22nd of September 1792 would mark Year 1 of the new free era. Not content with just starting the count from 1 – in order to replace the old calendar and reject its Catholic influence – each day of the year was given a name according to the Rural Calendar. 6th March became Spinach (16th of Windy), and 28th December became Manure (8th of Snowy). Weeks were redefined as having 10 days, days had 10 hours, hours had 100 minutes, and minutes had 100 seconds.
Surprisingly, as fun as it all sounds, this revolutionary way of keeping time did not catch on. Similarly – although not as bonkers as their French counterpart – the Soviets came up with their own calendar.
Today, the new revolutionaries have colourfully taken over the institutions, not through the use of violence (yet) but rather through claims of victimhood and weaponised tantrum-throwing. Correspondingly, they have again started making a mess of our calendar. The month of June has been progressively rebranded as Pride. Additional changes include a second month for the letter people: Trans History (February). Black History is now our tenth month. To complicate things further, a week in November has also been claimed and given the tragically funny and deluded name of Transgender Week of Remembrance.
Of course, these new Robespierres want everyone to join in the new celebrations and obliterate the old ones. To that end, special emphasis is being given to the active participation of children. The situation is such that in America, companies celebrating Pride, such as Target, are promoting children’s clothes with Trans and Satanic messages as well as boys’ swimwear with internal pockets where they can hide their penises in order to pass for girls.
So pervasive is the push to induce children to join the LGBT movement that, here in the United Kingdom, parents have begun to demand the right to know what their children are being taught under the creepy Relationship, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) by their ideologically radical teachers. This follows developments such as teachers telling kids to become drag queens for Pride month. The very progressive Education Secretary, Gillian Keegan who believes underage children should be able to “change” gender, has been forced to launch an independent review to find out if the material included in lessons is “age appropriate”. Fancy that! (Spoiler: it’s not)
Perhaps this revolutionary drive to include children in Pride celebrations is a nod to the month’s old name, June, which was a month to celebrate Juvenis (youth) in ancient Rome. Or perhaps they just really like children. In any case, I believe this issue requires further examination. My view is that these progressives understand that the younger the children are habituated to an order, the better the chances are that they will forget all about the previous one.
So far, so good.
However, in recent years, some discordance has started to be felt in the “LGBTQIA family”. The disagreement is separating those who do not want to behave like their sex (the LGB proper), and those who do not want to be in their sex (the TQIA etc). At the heart of the growing dispute is the fact that the now more traditional – and fading – LGB do not want to let go of the idea that biology is incontrovertible. Claims to the contrary, they believe, are gradually pushing many would-be lesbians or gays, further down the list of letters. LGB readers will have noted that I said of them that they do not want to behave like their sex, and they probably consider this description unfair. But I say this because I believe it is the reality of the matter. Back to etymology: the word Sex comes from Sexus which itself derives from the root Sec- which means to cut; segment; separate. As such, two individuals perform sexual intercourse when they engage in the union of the two segments.
I got thinking about this after watching a recent interview with Douglas Murray – the political commentator happens to be gay – in which he makes the point that the newest gender ideology formula ‘LGBTQIAA2S+’ includes asexuals which, according to him, are opposites to gays because the latter are extremely sexual. The reality, however, is that neither gays, lesbians, nor trans are sexual in the strict sense of the word. They are, in fact, deeply a-sexual. Sodomy and sapphism are terms which refer specifically to the practices of erotic intercourse gays and lesbians perform respectively.
So why is the intercourse between a man and a woman different? Because of the potential to conceive children. Thinking of sex in this way disabuses us of the current perception of it being a narrowly selfish act of erotism. Yet, what all the letter people have in common is the desire not to be shackled by the oppressive tradition of family and of having to assume their role as adults and protectors of progeny. Becoming adults – and eventually parents – makes a person’s self-interest secondary, forcing them to accept the passing of age and their own mortality. Sex, in the form I have described it, is oppressive for those who hold the modern worldview.
Here I return to my argument that Feminists paved the way for the current trans movement. In their opinion, the female “gender role” is an invention of the imaginary monster that lives under their beds: the Patriarchy. As such tradition is to be rejected. Feminists have argued for decades that women should reject the imposition of having to procreate and become parents. Their freedom should always come first, they believe. The academic ammunition feminists have given to the new progressives has been used in the last 50 years to promote the rejection of adulthood.
Take for instance the fact that so many TERFs like to define a woman as an “adult human female” yet they would probably recoil in horror if it was suggested that being biologically adult means that one is ready for procreation.
So, it is illustrative – albeit unsurprising – to see how this is playing out in academia - the frontline of the Gender Wars. Last month, the Lesbian TERF Kathleen Stock gave a talk at Oxford University. During the talk, a young female student called Rizz Posnett glued her hands to the floor to protest Stock. The uncanny physical resemblance between Stock and Posnett (both look like some strange version of a boy) is strangely symbolic: Just as Posnett sits two steps below, she represents the new, more radical revolt against adulthood of which Stock is the previous, fading, incarnation. Posnett will eventually take Stock’s place. Some new radical will take Posnett’s place and protest her.
The rejection of adulthood is the defining characteristic of the Asexual Revolution. Therefore, it is also not surprising to read that even what is termed as sexual activity today is receding dramatically in those under 25 (the so-called Generation Z). This generation, obsessed with their physical appearance on the internet, is terrorised by the prospect of ageing, maturing, and one day becoming the past.
In conclusion and to return to the main argument about revolution, I believe that the Asexual Revolution is clearly another rejection of tradition. Tradition requires us to accept some knowledge without questioning. This, in our ultra-rational society, is akin to a sin. Yet, in my opinion, it can’t be worse than becoming asexual, permanently childish and a slave to the material.
We must learn to understand again that subjection, sacrifice, and obeisance to rightful tradition are values we must nurture to prevent the oppression of the ego’s unshakeable Mortal Terror. The childish disillusionment with the future is keeping a large portion of yet another generation from becoming strong enough to reject selfishness and existentialism.
As the present revolution rushes to obliterate the previous order and replace it with yet a more incongruous setting of rules than those imposed by their predecessors, the new revolutionaries remain too blinkered to see over their shoulders.
My advice, to myself, my friends and to others: Get making babies, accept your mortality, and – in line with modern parlance – let’s make sex great again.
